Dr Susanna Tan Li Wen graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). As an undergraduate, she interned at prestigious institutions such as The University of Hong Kong and Tokyo Medical and Dental University. She was also chosen, along with her team, to represent the university at the 38th South East Asia Association for Dental Education (SEAADE), where they presented their research findings on orofacial pain to the international community.
Dr Susanna gained extensive experience across various institutions including National Healthcare Group Polyclinics, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and National Dental Centre. Working alongside specialists, she honed her skills especially in the fields of Prosthodontics, Oral Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry, Geriatric Dentistry, Special Needs Dentistry, and Orthodontics. She is also trained in complex treatment planning, especially in managing patients with acute dental trauma, and medically complex patients.
A firm believer in lifelong learning, Dr Susanna can often be found attending courses, both locally and abroad, as she strives to continually improve herself in a bid to provide the best possible care for her patients. She is currently a member of both the Aesthetic Dentistry Society Singapore (ADSS) and College of General Dental Practitioners Singapore (CGDP). She derives great joy from seeing her patients regain confidence, both in terms of their oral function and aesthetics, and hopes to see everyone leaving her chair smiling. She feels that it is never too young to cultivate good oral habits and welcomes children of all ages with open arms.
Dr Susanna is fluent in English and Mandarin. She speaks conversational Japanese and basic Malay.
Outside of work, Dr Susanna often volunteers both locally and abroad. She cherishes time spent with family and friends over a good meal. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, hiking, and western calligraphy.
