Dr. Seow Onn Choong completed his BDS degree at the University of Singapore in 1978, where he was awarded the “Best All-Round’ Final Year Student in the Faculty of Dentistry. He also received his Master in Dental Surgery (Conservative Dentistry) from the National University of Singapore in 1984.
Upon graduation, he has held numerous leadership positions. He was a Ministry of Health Dental Officer at Singapore General Hospital, Dentist-in-charge at Woodbridge Hospital Dental Clinic and a part-time lecturer at the National University of Singapore. He also served as the Past-Vice President for two terms at the Singapore Dental Association, and is currently the President of the Singapore Dental Health Foundation.
Dr. Seow has special interest in painless dentistry, and believes in the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and keeping teeth for life as the ultimate goal. Understanding the importance of continuing education, Dr. Seow’s new learning focus and interest is in Digital Dentistry using the CEREC system to customise dental ceramic restoration in one visit. This is one of the new dental paths that will provide patients with more customised solutions and saves them time. The added bonus will be reducing material used, transport cost and man-hours, and working towards achieving a greener earth.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Seow is an avid sportsman and enjoys playing squash and golf. He also practices martial art and Tai Chi Chuan for over a decade.
He is currently the Clinical Director of Dr. Seow Dental Centre at Holland Drive, a member of the T32 Dental Group.
