Dr Huang Ching graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from National University of Singapore. She was placed on the Dean’s list in her Third Professional Examinations for her outstanding academic performance.
Upon graduation, Dr Huang has worked in several institutional practices including:
- National Healthcare Group polyclinics
- National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS)
- National University Centre for Oral Health Singapore (NUCOHS).
During her journey, she gained invaluable experiences in advanced general dentistry, management of patients with multiple medical conditions, patients with acute pain and dental trauma. Dr Huang was also awarded the NDCS Smile Awards and Singapore Health Quality Service Awards in 2019, a national award given in recognition of the exemplary efforts of healthcare professionals in improving patient experience.
Dr Huang believes in holistic patient care and comprehensive treatment planning – that it is important to fully understand an individual’s needs and desires in order to provide the best customized treatment for each person. She finds great satisfaction in helping patients overcome their dental phobia. Dr Huang also believes in continuing dental education. In order to provide the best for her patients, she attends many local and overseas courses in all branches of dentistry to keep herself updated on recent developments in the industry. This includes a Masterclass in Implant Surgery and Prosthetics which equipped her with the skills for proper diagnosis and treatment planning of implant dentistry. In particular, Dr Huang has special interests in aesthetic dentistry including teeth whitening and smile enhancement, as well as root canal treatment and oral surgery.
Dr Huang is fluent in English, Mandarin and Hokkien and can converse in Korean.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys dancing and calligraphy. She is also an avid traveller who enjoys hiking and exploring the natural scenery.
