Dr Carter graduated with a BDS from the University of Sydney in 1974.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) (Oral Surgery) 1978 by examination, a Fellow of the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong, 1992 and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Dental), 1994.

His career began in Australia where he served in increasingly senior dental positions at health institutions such as the United Dental Hospital of Sydney and the Royal Newcastle Hospital, New South Wales.

Dr Carter moved to Hong Kong in 1980 where he was a lecturer at the Department of Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine in the University of Hong Kong, and later, Internal Examiner in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine. He was also a consultant at Dr Eric Carter and Associates, a busy general dentistry practice in Hong Kong’s central business district.

His research papers have been widely published in top professional journals and he maintained an active schedule of lectures and presentations at congresses and conferences in the Asia Pacific.

Dr Carter practices General Dentistry at T32 Dental Centre with special interest in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine.
